Thirty years in this city. You work with me, start to finish.
About
Thirty years here. One client at a time.
I’m a native New Yorker — born in the Bronx, raised in Brooklyn — and I’ve spent thirty years helping people find their place in this city. I work on my own: no team, no junior agents, no handoffs. When you call me, you get me, from the first conversation to the keys.
After this long, I know the right home was never about square footage or a price point. It’s about how you actually want to live — where your kids go to school and where they’ll play, how the commute feels at the end of a long day, what’s actually around you when you get home.
And I’ll tell you what a listing never will: what stood on the corner before the building went up, who really owns it and how they run it, which apartments catch the morning light, which co-op board will put you through your paces. Most of that doesn’t show up online. I know it because I’ve been here, doing this, the whole time.
Some people want a quiet co-op off the Park, where the doorman’s been there thirty years and nobody asks their business. Some want the downtown tower with the city still going at three in the morning. I’ve found both, plenty of times — the trick is figuring out, pretty quickly, which one I’m sitting across from.
Thirty years in, I’ve helped people from down the block and from halfway around the world — families, executives, first-time buyers, people moving for work. Residential, commercial, relocations, rentals. However it goes, you’re working with me, start to finish. That’s the whole point.
The Work
Most of what I’m proud of, you’ll never read about.
Sure, there was the Time Warner Center lease — one of the biggest in the city the year I did it, brokered with Brown Harris Stevens. That makes a nice headline. But it was never how I measured the work.
What I measure it by is quieter: the family I got settled before the school year started, the building I brought close to full, the firm that kept sending me its people because the last move went well — and the one before that. Different people, different decades, all of it handled the same way. Just me, start to finish.
“Rick understood exactly what I wanted by asking the right questions, and he didn’t waste a second of my time. A surprisingly successful and pleasant experience.”
— Faye Cone, Interior Designer, Cape Town
“I worked with Rick on the purchase and sale of two homes — exceptional from start to finish. He made me feel informed, supported, and confident in every decision.”
— Eve Asbury, Digital Marketing Executive
I’m not trying to impress anyone at this point. I just do the work, and I do it right.
